Hydrometeorological Data Services in Albania
STREAM Sh.p.k. helps clients assess, quality-check and interpret hydrological and meteorological records in Albania. Data services support monitoring programmes, water-resource studies, flood analysis and hydropower assessments.
What does the data service include?
- Inventory of stations, variables, periods, formats, units and data ownership.
- Checks for missing values, duplicate timestamps, inconsistent units, outliers and changes in station operation.
- Comparison with neighbouring stations or independent datasets when suitable records are available.
- Time-series processing, aggregation, visualisation and preparation of model inputs.
- Documented quality flags, processing steps, metadata and limitations.
Which variables can be assessed?
The scope may cover rainfall, temperature, river stage, discharge, reservoir level and related operational or environmental observations. Availability, licensing and measurement quality determine what can be used. STREAM does not imply ownership of national monitoring networks or unrestricted access to third-party data.
How are gaps and questionable observations treated?
Observed and estimated values remain distinguishable. Any gap filling, correction or reconstruction requires a stated method and suitability assessment. The deliverable identifies the source, time zone, units, quality flags and treatment of uncertain records.
What will the client receive?
Deliverables can include cleaned time series, a station and metadata register, quality-control tables, plots, model-ready files and a processing report. Formats, update frequency and acceptance checks are agreed in the proposal.
How can a client start?
Describe the intended use, variables, locations, period, time step, current formats and data permissions. Initial enquiries can describe the records before confidential files are exchanged through an agreed channel.
