Coastal and Lagoon Studies in Albania
STREAM Sh.p.k. supports coastal and lagoon studies in Albania through hydrological assessment, bathymetric survey planning, monitoring design and spatial analysis. Each assignment defines the measurements, specialist partners and modelling needed for the client’s decision.
Which questions can a coastal or lagoon study address?
- How freshwater inflows, drainage and sea connections affect the study area.
- What depth, water-level and water-quality observations are needed.
- How bathymetry and repeated surveys can support volume or morphological assessment.
- How monitoring locations, sampling intervals and quality controls should be specified.
- How flood, drought or changing boundary conditions should be represented in an agreed assessment.
What are the possible deliverables?
An agreed scope may include a baseline review, fieldwork specification, georeferenced datasets, bathymetric surfaces, thematic maps, monitoring recommendations and a technical report. Marine engineering, specialist ecological investigations, laboratory analyses and equipment procurement require separately defined expertise and responsibilities.
What information should the client provide?
Send the study boundary, management question, existing maps and surveys, water-level and quality records, seasonal constraints, access arrangements and intended use of the results. Coordinate and vertical reference systems must be agreed before survey integration.
What experience is relevant?
Founder Dr.-Ing. Klodian Zaimi’s prior work includes coastal bathymetry for the Port of Vlora in 2016 and reservoir studies. These are personal professional references from before STREAM was established in 2025; they do not represent a claimed lagoon contract delivered by the company.
