Hydrology, Hydraulic Modelling and GIS Training

STREAM Sh.p.k. provides practical technical training for municipalities, institutions, utilities, universities and project teams. Courses are designed around the participants’ tasks, datasets and starting knowledge, with Dr.-Ing. Klodian Zaimi as the technical contact.

Which topics can be covered?

  • Hydrological concepts, catchment analysis and water balances.
  • Hydrological and hydraulic modelling workflows, including HEC-HMS or HEC-RAS where appropriate.
  • GIS, terrain interpretation, spatial databases and mapping.
  • Monitoring-network concepts, field measurement procedures and data-quality review.
  • Flood-and-drought assessment, scenario interpretation and early-warning concepts.

How is a course structured?

An initial needs assessment defines learning objectives, level, software, dataset permissions and duration. Training can combine short explanations, demonstrations, guided exercises and discussion of the client’s workflow. Field sessions require suitable access, equipment, operating conditions and safety arrangements.

What can participants take away?

Agreed training materials, exercise data or model examples, a record of methods and assumptions, and practical tasks or an action checklist. Exercises can use synthetic or permitted datasets. Confidential operational data are used only through an agreed arrangement.

How is learning evaluated?

Use exercises, interpretation questions or a short application task aligned with the course objectives. Attendance and completed exercises are distinguished from a professional qualification. Accredited certification, software licences and continuing support are not implied; any such requirements must be specifically agreed.

What is needed to propose training?

Provide the participant roles and number, starting skills, software access, preferred language, topics, examples of recurring tasks, delivery format and timetable. Advanced or specialist modules are scoped to the appropriate instructor and tools.
